Why Archery?

There are many different reasons why people think about trying archery. Perhaps it is memories of playing with a toy bow and arrow as a child, or watching Robin Hood on the television. It could be that you have tried archery on holiday or at Centre Parcs and really enjoyed it. Maybe even particpated in one of our many ‘have-a-go’ sessions which we run at clubs, schools and local carnivals and events.

Archery is not just an historic sport and pastime, it is also the ultimate family sport - where men, women and juniors from all sections of the community can participate together. You do not need to be super fit, or extra strong to shoot, and it is a very sociable sport where new friends are made easily. But whether you want to take up the sport for fun, or if you aspire to compete at the highest level one day, you will find that archery caters for everyone.

If you have moved into the area and have previously shot at another club, please contact our Club Secretary, Mr Tony Bossons, on tonybossons@hotmail.com

If you have never tried archery before, please read on...
